Summer Camp 

Giimoozaabi Black Hunters partners with A Different World Academy to host an annual Summer Youth Camp Program titled "Get Da Kids Off Da Street". With the help of New Orleans Tourist & Cultural Fund (NOTCF) sponsoring the 2025 Summer Camp this year, the program was a MAJOR success! Campers experienced our unique "Museum Hop On | Hop Off " field trips, decorated cakes, and painted in outdoor spaces. They learned history lessons and gained knowledge about Juneteenth Celebrations and the Spirit of New Orleans Culture with special appearances from the New Orleans Mardi Gras Indians and Drummers. Most of all, the campers hand sewed a Mardi Gras Indian Suit to be on display at the New Orleans Mardi Gras Indian Summer Gala: Silent Auction, which takes place Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the Historic BK House & Garden, 1113 Chartres Street, New Orleans, LA.
